The brief was to create a resort-style residential bathroom with a concrete theme using products from Crosby Tiles, Polytec and Q-Stone.
The wet area and dry area are zoned by a change in material, with the bath and shower sharing a wall-to-wall microcement bench seat. Sunlight is welcomed through the skylight, illuminating the textured concrete tile.
The cabinetry is divided into room-facing and vanity-facing open storage, providing an option to display items such as bath robes and slippers, and an option to hide smaller clutter items and a power outlet.
Despite the absence of perfect symmetry, the space remains carefully balanced.
My bathroom design was nominated as a finalist in the 2023 Crosby Tiles Bathroom Challenge, and was nominated as the winning design of the Polytec award within this challenge.
